Posting Content that can Kill Your Venue’s Success

Posted on Posted in Digital Marketing, Entertainment, Nightlife, Social Media

We are in an age of content marketing. People are more social than ever and with the digital age literally at our fingertips our customers can consume, comment, and share your content very quickly.

“Content marketing is a marketing technique of creating and distributing valuable, relevant and consistent content to attract and acquire a clearly defined audience – with the objective of driving profitable customer action.”

For the nightclub and bar industry content marketing can be pictures of your event, video recaps of your night, behind the scenes images or videos, etc.

PLEASE don’t post full club pictures of your event when it is dead. This content will kill you. You will be spreading the news that your venue is dead, slow, not working out and no one will want to come check you out. The growth of the night will be non existent.

The club is very slow and you are telling the world about it.

So what can you post when your club is starting out and you really want to add content to your social media feeds? Close up people and artist shots work well. How about savvy drink images with your logo or typography text on it?

Here are a few examples of great pics to post when you are slow but still want to be relevant and content worthy.

Close up shots, beautiful people, no idea how busy the club ‘really’ is.

Girls dancing on the dance floor, close up shot again, no clue how busy or slow the full club is. Great pic to post.

Close up of DJ. No crowd shots, great looking image/content.

So as you can see, there are some creative ways to keep the venue’s image in the spotlight without having the generic full club shots (when the venue is slow). If it is super packed (like the featured headline image) then YES absolutely post those pics as well.

Content marketing is important especially to our target demographic just be aware of the message you are giving your potential customers.
